First Step Addiction Consultants

Sober Living Alliance (SoLA)
SoLA, a program of First Step Addiction Consultants, was created to expand access to recovery housing and provide individuals in need with safe, supportive environments.
A Safe Place to Begin Again

At SoLA, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life in a safe, supportive environment. Addiction can leave individuals feeling isolated and without direction — but recovery is possible when people have access to stability, resources, and community.
SoLA provides transitional housing for men in recovery, designed to help them take meaningful steps toward independence. Our homes are more than just a roof overhead; they are places of accountability, growth, and hope.
What We Offer
-
Safe & Structured Housing – A stable environment where residents can focus on healing without outside pressures.
-
Community Support – Shared living with peers who understand the recovery journey, reducing isolation and building encouragement.
-
Educational Programming – Monthly presentations by therapists, addiction counselors, and community leaders.
-
Skill Building – Opportunities to learn practical life skills that strengthen independence and prepare residents for long-term success.
-
Workplace Partnerships – Connections with local businesses that offer training, mentorship, and employment opportunities.
Why It Matters
According to the 2023 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 48.5 million Americans aged 12 and older struggle with a substance use disorder. Yet far too many leave treatment without a safe place to go, making early recovery especially fragile. Freedom House fills this critical gap by offering housing and structured support that reduce relapse risk and build pathways to stability.
Impact Stories
Since its opening, SoLA has provided dozens of men with the foundation they needed to rebuild their lives. Many have gone on to secure employment, reconnect with their families, and become active members of their communities. Every resident represents a story of resilience — and a reminder that recovery is possible.
